You’ll meet all kinds of like-minded people here — professional folks, who are looking for a beautiful, safe area to live in, but want to remain close to “civilization.”

The Denver airport is a quick 20 minute drive from here, so frequent travelers can get home quickly to their families after a trip. You’ll find yourself surrounded by neighbors who appreciate an active lifestyle, and who take advantage of the myriad outdoor activities available to them.

What types of homes are in Frederick?

What’s unique about Frederick?

Although we’re a growing community, we still have a close-knit, down home feel. The city government has an open door policy and welcomes feedback from the citizens. We are always looking for ways to better our shared home and help everyone feel safe and welcome. Our town is a haven, with unbeatable views of the Rockies, and smiling faces on every corner.

We love our history here, and we do what we can to preserve the memories of how our town was created, as well as by whom. Our town started as a coal mining operation, and was settled largely by the immigrant families that worked the mine. We remember them and the hard work they did every year during Miner’s Day. On this day, thousands of people gather to celebrate Frederick’s first citizens with contests, activities, live music, food vendors, a car show, a parade, and fireworks.

Where are the good schools in Frederick?

Coloradans are fortunate in that every parent has the right to choose exactly where their child will attend school. This means that you are welcome to research local schools, visit them, and decide which ones are the best choice for your son or daughter.

That being said, Frederick has a number of wonderful schools for prospective parents to choose from, both private and public. Some of our local, top notch public schools include:

For those seeking higher education, but who don’t wait to travel far from home, there are several community colleges and universities in the area, with degrees ranging from Associates to Doctorates. The University of Colorado, The Metropolitan State University of Denver, Oak Ridge Associated University, and Regis University, can all be commuted to daily. Front Range Community College and The University of Northern Colorado, which are situated to the north, are perfect for continuing education for pupils of any age.
