I’ll start by saying that Golden offers so many outdoor activities that you’ll always want to spend time outside exploring or admiring the rivers and mountains. From kayaking at Clear Creek Whitewater Park to mountain biking along the bluffs, you’ll stay active. Golden features numerous parks in the area, including Golden Heights Park, featuring soccer fields, a skate park, and a large playground and the Splash at Fossil Trace, featuring water slides, a leisure pool, and the biggest sand box in Jefferson County.
In addition, the city of Golden hosts numerous community events throughout the year. You’ll find everything from their First Friday Street Fairs, featuring live entertainment, local artwork, and restaurants downtown to Movies in the Parfet Park on Friday nights in August. Golden is also well-known for their holiday celebrations, including the Golden Candlelight Walk and the Olde Golden Christmas Parade, featuring Santa Claus and the Grinch.
