    • January 2016 Market Update for South Broadway

      Well, with 2015 officially closed out, it is safe to say it was a stellar and interesting year in the Denver real estate market! Double digit appreciation for the Denver Metro and heavy anticipation for another big year in 2016. This all funnels down to the specifics of the Broadway Estates and Southwood neighborhoods…

      Not unusual for the holiday season, we saw only 3 new listings come available, all in Broadway Estates. I expect the listings to continue to trickle in slowly in January, but with the pace at which homes are selling, I imagine the selling season will ramp up early as it did in 2015.

    • Neighborhood Traditions…

      What are your holiday traditions in our lovely neighborhood?

      We take our daughter over to Southglenn to skate on the ice rink and always take a family picture under a particular tree near the fountain.

      Also, every time we come and go from our house when it is dark, we inevitably find ourselves driving down Lafayette to see the most festive house in the area. If you haven’t been by, it is a must-see for anyone…one block north of Arapahoe on Lafayette.

      The market appeared to slow a bit in August around back-to-school time, which is expected. This is based on the reduced number of homes in the neighborhood that came up for sale that month (5 in August versus 9 in July and 10 in June).

      However, both September and October boasted 7 new listings each, indicating that sellers are realizing that there are still plenty of buyers out there who are ready and willing.
