Well that was a good storm. I love the weather forecasts that miraculously predict from 2-27 inches of snow. We got about that much!
At the Maiocco ranch between Conifer Mountain and Kings Valley we got less than a foot total through both days of snow. When I was at the top of Kings Valley today (Leavenworth) it looked like it was probably a little deeper.
In the spirit of the weatherman I’ll describe the drifts as between 12 and 60″!
I think the snow is one of my favorite things about living in Conifer. The early mornings after a storm with the crisp air and deep blue sky. It’s Colorado living at its best!
Sure it comes with some challenges, my plow got stuck at 10 PM or so, but to me there’s not much out there that’s better than watching the sunrise through pine bows pillowed with snow. Enjoy it while you can, spring is just around the corner.
