Curious about the average sales price of homes in your area? Wondering how your city compares to the rest of the Front Range? You probably already know that homes prices throughout the region have been rising rapidly over the past year. In some areas, the increases have been positively astounding!
Here’s the latest city-by-city guide.*
A few things stand out:
- Most places saw median sales price increases between 5-15% over the past year
- Lone Tree edged out Boulder for the highest median sales price on the Front Range
- Even though they saw a large price increase, condos/townhomes in Wheat Ridge remain the cheapest homes in the metro area
- The foothills cities of Lyons and Estes Park saw decreased sales prices, in contrast to just about everywhere else
- Lafayette’s home prices are quickly catching up to the other Boulder suburbs
* Values are based on median prices for homes sold 7/1/2014-12/31/2014. Percentage versus the same period in 2013.
