    • Big snow!

      Well that was a good storm. I love the weather forecasts that miraculously predict from 2-27 inches of snow. We got about that much!

      At the Maiocco ranch between Conifer Mountain and Kings Valley we got less than a foot total through both days of snow. When I was at the top of Kings Valley today (Leavenworth) it looked like it was probably a little deeper.

      In the spirit of the weatherman I’ll describe the drifts as between 12 and 60″!

      I think the snow is one of my favorite things about living in Conifer. The early mornings after a storm with the crisp air and deep blue sky. It’s Colorado living at its best!

      Sure it comes with some challenges, my plow got stuck at 10 PM or so, but to me there’s not mu

    • Mom, it’s a SNOW DAY!!!

      Mr. Gunther, my tall German Shepard is looking more like a dotson dog in the snow!!

      My kiddo and her friends are making igloos and burning off some enery. It’s bright and beautiful out!!

      I have even seen cross country skiers crusing down Longs Peak!

      Thanks for a Beatuiful Day Mother Nature – I will be looking forward to 50 degrees and sunny next week too!!

      It’s a cold, bleak day. But the snow has stopped and the hills along Castle Oaks Drive connecting Terrain and Cobblestone Ranch are beautiful!

      Well my pond is frozen, with about of foot of slushy stuff on the top- Will the fish survive? Coy are very tough- hopefully they will survive this storm!
