If hiking is your things, then the Pine Valley Open Space Park or Pike National Forest will provide you with trails that stretch miles and miles. A big favorite is the scenic Buffalo Creek trails that will take you along the Colorado Trail.
If enjoying the wilderness is not what you prefer to do, you can head downtown and enjoy the historic architecture of the many structures. There are bed and breakfasts for you to relax in or you can rent a riverfront cabin that comes equipped with grills, hot tubs, and decks.
