What’s it like to live in Timnath?

Even as the population grows, life in Timnath still revolves around the land. If you’re a person who enjoys living off of the environment that surrounds you, with a desire to protect that environment for future generations, Timnath is the spot for you. There are great places to garden, hunt, hike, and fish, all with stunning views of the Rockies as a backdrop. It’s an outdoor photographer’s dream. And believe me, if you’re into the outdoor life, you’ll make plenty of fast friendships with your neighbors in Timnath.

What types of homes are in Timnath?

Sprawling ranchers are popular in Timnath. These homes blend characteristics from functional farmhouses and classic mountain homes, to create a unique look, with stone facades butting up against natural wood finishes. Ranchers are popular here because there’s room to build out, instead of up. You’ll still get the same amount of bedrooms, bathrooms, and overall space, but in a configuration that suits the land. No matter which area of Timnath you choose, your home will come with a great view. Homes in the reservoir area are particularly popular, for that reason.

What are the best things to do in Timnath?

You won’t find a congested downtown area or shopping district in Timnath, and that’s just the point. Timnath is a place that allows you to make your own fun – a rare trait in a world that relies ever more on technology for entertainment. In the warm-weather months, the Timnath reservoir is the place to be. Hit the water on your boat, water ski, relax on the sandy shore, swim in designated areas, or drop in a fishing line from one of the piers. The reservoir is open to residents and their guests, so you won’t have to worry about huge out-of-town crowds on hot days.

There are tons of ways to enjoy your natural surroundings in Timnath, and town leaders plan to keep it that way. Each year, the community joins together for Town Beautification Day. Enjoy that well-maintained environment with some camping, a hunting trip, or gardening. If you enjoy outdoor sports, Timnath always has room for a lively game.

You’re also not far from urban life, if you get the urge to mix things up. Fort Collins is a great place to go for some shopping or a nice dinner, just a few miles away. Denver is also close by, so you can venture out to watch some pro sports, take in the culture, or experience the nightlife.

Is Timnath right for me?

I’ve mentioned it already — what you won’t find in Timnath is part of its appeal. There’s no traffic, no constant crush of people, and no pressure to move a million miles-per-hour. Instead, there’s you, your neighbors, and the wide open natural beauty you can only find in rural Colorado. Hunting and fishing happen year-round here, and brilliant, star-lit nights are the norm. Community still means something here, with summer barbecues and winter bonfires offering the perfect setting to build new friendships. If you love nature and you like to be around people who share that passion, Timnath is for you.
